Nathan’s love for animals was discovered after he got his first pet rabbit named Thomas.  Nathan and Thomas spent hours together and he discovered what an amazing bond people could have with their pets, which led him to a position with Golden Valley and Greenbrier Animal Hospitals in the fall of 2017.

Growing up in Hopkins, Nathan had a mini-zoo in his house which included birds, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs.  In addition to his family’s love for animals, they also have a passion for music.  Nathan grew up with the opportunity to play multiple instruments and played in several bands.  After receiving his associates degree from Normandale College, Nathan began considering a career in music versus a career with animals.  He loves the thought of helping animals because they don’t have a voice like we do and can’t ask for help when they need it.  That is what drove Nathan to the decision to begin a career in Veterinary Medicine and he is currently planning on enrolling at Argosy University soon to become a Veterinary Technician.

Nathan continues his passion for music on the side and currently plays in a band when he’s not at the clinics.  He can also be seen helping his mom maintain her household of animals, which mainly consists of birds and dogs currently.
