Growing up in a small town, Sydney always loved animals. While in middle school, she volunteered at a local animal hospital where a stray puppy who had been left in a dumpster was brought in. The doctor there cared for the puppy and neutered him, which Sydney had the privilege of observing. A short time later, after persuading her parents, that puppy came home to live with Sydney!
Sydney attended the Veterinary Technician program at Ridgewater College for a short time before deciding that being a Tech wasn’t quite the right fit for her. Through nannying, she found that she really had a passion for helping people and decided to combine that with her passion for helping animals. Sydney felt the Client Service Coordinator position here at Golden Valley Animal Hospital fit that bill perfectly, and she has now moved on to become the office manager at our location!
Although she now lives in Plymouth, Sydney misses the small-town feel that she grew up with and visits home often. She shares her current home with her Green-Cheek Conure, Coconut, and her black cat named Chicken.
Aside from visiting friends and family back home, Sydney enjoys swimming and embroidering in her free time.
