Lisa has always had a love for animals of all kinds. Through the years she has had several exotic animals as pets, such as rabbits and ferrets. Her passion and love for animals lead her to a career as a Veterinary Technician.
Lisa attended the Vet Tech program at Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN. As with all technicians, she was required to complete an internship which she chose to do part of in South Africa! After returning to Minnesota, she finished her internship at a local Holistic/Exotic Veterinary Hospital. Lisa had previously brought her own pets to Golden Valley Animal Hospital, and was so impressed by the level of care her pets received and professionalism of the staff, she knew this was where she needed to be. She became a part of our team in January 2020.
Her son shares her passion for helping animals and has helped foster several pets through the years. The two of them love spending time with their own pets and watching the antics of their ferret, Boomer and cat, Boots. She has coached gymnastics for many years, and continues to do so when she is not working at the clinic. When she finds some free time, she enjoys running, swimming and spending time with her family.
