Asha was introduced to Veterinary Medicine when, as a kindergartner, the family got their dog, Maxi. Maxi and Asha became best friends and Maxi soon became “her” dog rather than the family dog. The two of them grew up together, but during Asha’s senior year of high school, Maxi’s health began to decline. Seeing the care that Maxi received from the doctors and technicians at Golden Valley and Greenbrier Animal Hospitals inspired Asha to pursue a career as a Veterinary Technician so that she could continue to help all the Maxi’s out there.

It wasn’t just Asha’s experience with her own dog that lead her down this path. As a child, she often helped stray animals in the neighborhood and took many of them in. As she grew, she found that she had a passion not only for helping animals, but the medical field as well. Combining these two passions seemed like the natural choice and she decided to attend the Veterinary Technology program at NDSU, graduating from the program in the spring of 2020.

Asha grew up in Golden Valley and enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends. She can also be found listening to music, painting, biking, or walking her pitbull mix, Indi, who likes getting belly rubs and playing at the park! Along with Indi, Asha also has two tortoises, Sunny and Naymar, a bearded dragon named Chomper, and a gecko named Butternut.
