Ana

Ana was in the third grade when she got her first dog, Maxi, and she quickly learned she was not prepared for everything a new dog entails! Maxi proved to be a big learning curve and gave her and her family many challenges. Because of this, Ana has learned how much human actions affect the lives of animals. Maxi is a huge part of why Ana chose to enter the Veterinary field today!

Growing up, Ana was always fascinated by medicine. She was very interested in different medical cases and liked to see pieces of the puzzle come together to form a diagnosis and treatment plan. Because of this interest along with her love of dogs, Ana decided to attend the University of Minnesota and is working towards her BS in Animal Science with a minor in wildlife care and handling. She also recently received her Artificial Insemination Certification for cattle. After graduating, she plans to apply to vet schools in the Midwest in hopes of becoming a Veterinarian.

In our clinic, Ana enjoys watching all the different types of personalities our patients have, and especially loves it when new puppy patients come in. She enjoys watching them develop, and has a lot of fun talking to our clients about them.

In the Summer, Ana enjoys hiking, kayaking, and swimming. In the Winter, she spends her time reading, working on puzzles, and catching up on her favorite shows. Ana also has several pets of her own, including Maxi, her childhood dog who is a Schnauzer/Bichon mix, Sparky, a five-year-old Shih-Tzu mix, and two Kuhli Loaches!
