Growing up, Maddie always wanted pets and to be around animals. Whenever she saw a sick or injured animal, she felt a strong need to help them out. When it was time to decide on a college, she chose the U of M because of their Animal Science program. She didn’t know at that time that she wanted to be a Veterinarian, but after shadowing at a local vet clinic for several hours, she found her calling!Maddie is originally from Minnesota and is currently enrolled at the U of M with hopes of attending Vet school starting in the fall of 2021. She joined our team in the spring of 2019 to gain more experience before continuing her education.
While getting kisses from puppies is Maddie’s favorite part of the job, she has also found joy in watching the doctors solve medical mysteries. She loves getting to know the clients and their pets and finds it very rewarding to see how happy they are when we are able to make their pets feel better! Maddie is excited to be able to give back to the animals that give us so much.
Helping animals may be Maddie’s first passion, but she also has a strong passion for the sport of volleyball. She has played since she was in grade school and continues to play today with plans to start coaching soon. In her free time, Maddie enjoys doing anything outdoors including skiing, four-wheeling, fishing, and knee-boarding and snuggling with her chinchilla, Chichi.
